Allison received her B.S. degrees in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of Washington in 2005 and recently passed her preliminary exam at Duke.  Her research focuses on understanding the thermodynamics of additivity in ligand binding in several protein-ligand systems.  This research utilizes isothermal titration calorimetry, organic synthesis and x-ray crystallography techniques.
