ABOUT THE AUTHORS:

The group originated through a joint effort by Dr. Diane Szaflarski, and Drs. Robert and Melanie Dean from the University of California, San Diego, Extension School'’s Program for Teacher Enhancement in Science and Technology and Prof. John Simon of the University of California, San Diego'’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The project is a cooperative endeavor involving high school teachers, university students, university faculty and industrial professionals.
