Interdisciplinary Departments & Programs
Faculty and students in the Department of Chemistry participate in a
wide range of interdisciplinary research and educational activities.
Many of the interdisciplinary research efforts fall into one of
several areas of research emphasis. Many others involve active
participation in an interdisciplinary center or department, listed
below. These programs centere around the most dynamic areas of
contemporary research, and they each provide a multi-disciplinary
training opportunity that prepares students for careers at the
frontiers of science.
The new home of the Chemistry Department, the French Family Science Center, embraces this philosophy and commitment to interdisciplinary studies as it houses the entire Chemistry Department, in addition to faculty and labs from both Biological Sciences and Physics.
