Dry ice is composed of carbon dioxide in the solid phase. At temperatures around -78 degrees Celcius and higher, dry ice sublimes, which is the direct conversion from the solid to gaseous phase. Dropping dry ice into warm water speeds up the sublimation process. Carbon dioxide gas is denser than air. Saop bubbles filled with carbon dioxide and condensed water vapor (fog) create this CO2 leaky faucet.
