BOOST 2008 at Duke
Learning about fluid density at a BOOST science fair.
BOOST students work in the teaching labs of the French Family Science Center.
BOOST aims to get young scholars interested in the sciences at an early age.
Doctoral students demonstrate the various properties of dry ice, including sublimation and the ability of dry ice to lower the pH of water.
BOOST also introduces young scholars to biology, physiology, and medical studies, rounding out their scientific exposure.

BOOST students live on Duke's West Campus during the program, enjoying the many of the activites and
facilities
of Duke students in a exciting and safe environment.
