Fathers of Quantum Chemistry – some stories
Abstract:
Four of the pioneers of the field known as Quantum Chemistry were contemporaries with Planck’s quantum hypothesis: Fritz London, John Slater, Henry Eyring, and Linus Pauling. The stories of their lives, their interactions, and their contributions are the subjects of this talk. I do not pretend to be an historian of science, rather an interested amateur.
