The Department of Chemistry tracks the professional placement of alumni beyond graduation, updating this information regularly as former students advance professionally. The department tracks alumni placement in the academic and private sectors, as well as government and international employment.

Recent graduates from the doctoral program in Chemistry have had remarkable success in securing research positions at a broad spectrum of universities and other research institutions such as UNC-Chapel Hill, The Scripps Research Institute, Columbia University, KBI Biopharma, City of Hope National Cancer Center, the Environmental Protection Agency, Xintek Inc., M.I.T., Scynexis, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
