The ACS Chemical Sciences Graduate School Finder
IN CHEMISTRY SUMMER 1992
(Reproduced with permission.)
The ACS Chemical Sciences Graduate School Finder is a valuable
directory for those juniors and seniors who wish to pursue further studies
in academic institutions in the United States or Canada. ACS solicited
listings from major educational institutions offering courses leading to
a Master's or Ph.D. degree.
[Note: all graduate programs are not included in this publication
since a fee is charged for each listing.]
Each department's description provides you with everything you need to know
to evaluate a given school or department. Is the school in an urban, suburban,
or rural setting? What is the size and make-up of the student population?
What are the requirements for admission? What are the degree requirements?
How much will it cost? What financial aid is available? What are the research
facilities? Who are the faculty, and what are their research specialties?
In addition, each department lists its research facilities and equip ment,
including any special features.
Entries are arranged alphabetically by institution; departments are arranged
alphabetically within each institution. Indexes will help you pin-point
schools to consider. A geographical index of departments arranged by state
and an alphabetical list of departments arranged by category (e.g., chemistry,
chemical engineering, materials science) are included.
